This September, NAG proudly inaugurated the Academic Network NAG (“ANN”) training center in Surkhet. The ongoing enhancement of our teacher training program.

The center is dedicated to strengthening Nepal’s education system by empowering teachers. It is the result of the tireless work of Ann Preston, who has been training teachers at NAG and in government schools across Nepal for over 30 years. Ann has also mentored Manjita Koirala, who now steps up as NAG’s school trainer to continue advancing teaching and learning.

As part of this initiative, we visited government schools in Surkhet to understand their challenges and the kind of support they need. This will allow us to design training programs that are practical and relevant. With the new center, our reach extends to remote areas such as Kalikot and Lower Dolpo.

Our vision is simple but powerful:

Better trained teachers = better schools = brighter futures for children.

We are excited to begin this new chapter and look forward to the positive impact the Academic Network NAG will bring to schools across Nepal.
